It’s not that anything’s broken. It’s that you’re the one doing all of it.
Let me take some of these off your plate.
- I should post more
- Don't forget this month's newsletter
- Are we showing up on Google?
- Run this month’s sales report
- Update the hours on the site
- I keep having to repeat myself

How I can help your PNW small business
These are just a few of the things I can help with. Your plan will be tailored to your business and your goals.

Get found
Get your business found by more people
A full SEO audit of your Google listing, your website, and what people are told when they ask AI where to go. You get an honest list of what to fix and the order to fix it in. That may involve some tweaks to your website, or I may suggest adding specific content.
Content that sounds like you
Blog posts, social media, newsletters. I automate the first draft of whatever you need to write, trained on how you talk and what services you offer, so it always sounds like you. You skim it with your coffee, approve and post it.
Consumers using AI tools to find local businesses jumped from 6% to 45% in one year. AI is now the third-biggest discovery channel for local businesses, ahead of Yelp, while Google’s share fell from 83% to 71%.
Get your time back
The tech nobody has been maintaining
The site you can’t update yourself, the plugin that broke in March, the software you’re still paying for that nobody opens. I’ll fix what’s broken, cancel what isn’t earning its keep, and make the rest easier for you and your staff to use.
Your brain, uploaded for employees
SOPs, onboarding, the answers you give over and over. I put it all in one place and build your staff a private assistant they can ask in plain English, so the answer comes back with the source instead of coming from you at 7am.
Forms and intake that are easy to track
When someone fills out the form on your website, you get an email right away, they get an automatic confirmation, and their details are saved to one organized spreadsheet. No more digging through multiple inboxes to figure out who asked for what.
Put your reports on autopilot
The spreadsheet, dashboard, or sales report you keep putting together by hand. I automate it once so it builds itself from then on, and you stop touching it. Same numbers, same format, one less Sunday night.
What the work actually looks like

Here’s what a free look-over actually looks like.
I’ll send you a PDF report within two business days, with your shop in place of this one.
Read the sample look-over →“I knew I needed to bring AI into my strategy but had no idea where to start. Caitlyn walked me through it step by step and made it actually make sense. She also caught something I didn't even know was a problem — I had two separate Google listings splitting my SEO and dragging down my visibility. She diagnosed it, explained exactly why it was hurting me, and got it fixed. She takes the time to explain things instead of just handing you a list of tasks.”

Hi, I’m Caitlyn.
I've spent years as a software engineer. What I do now is point that at small businesses: finding the slow, manual, duct-taped parts of how you run and making them work better.
What I like is coming in and looking at the whole operation: what you redo by hand every week, what your staff asks you the same question about, what you wish you had more time for. Then I make the system run more efficiently and leave you something you can run without me, so you can get back to the work that really matters.
I live in Portland and work in the surrounding areas as well. Remote works too, but I’d rather be able to see your business in person.

What happens after you book the call
We talk
Free thirty minute call. You tell me what takes your time, what you wish was better, and what you keep meaning to get to.
I write it down
A straightforward list of what I’d do, in what order, and what each piece costs. Nothing starts until you’ve read it and said yes.
You pick
Take the whole plan, take one thing off it, or tell me what you think is missing. If I’m not the right person for it, I’ll say so.
What it costs
- SEO and AI visibility audit$400
- Content creation machinefrom $1,000
- Custom projectsfrom $1,000
- On callfrom $500 a month
- Hourly$100 per hour
I’m taking 5 founding clients at reduced project rates (20% off) through October, in exchange for a testimonial and permission to write up the results.
The 30-minute call and the look-over are free.
No long contracts. On call starts with three months, then it’s month to month with 30 days notice.
Some of this you shouldn’t pay me for.
I’ll tell you which parts on the free call. Some standing opinions:
- Not everything should run without you. If you do it twice a year, do it by hand and keep the money.
- Most small shops don’t need a new website. They need their Google listing fixed, their SEO tools updated, and better photos.
- You don’t need a chatbot. Not if the real problem is that nobody can find you.
- Sometimes the answer is a $30-a-month tool. When it is, I’ll set it up, show you how to run it, and get out of the way.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of work can you actually automate for a small business?
The things you redo on a schedule. The monthly sales report you rebuild by hand, the first draft of every newsletter and caption, the intake form that should email you and reply to the customer and land in a spreadsheet on its own, the same six questions your staff asks you every week. Bring me your most annoying repeat task on the call and I’ll tell you whether it can run without you, what it would cost, or whether it’s cheaper to keep doing it by hand.
What if something with my custom tool or system is broken? How will you know how to fix it if you haven't seen it before?
I love digging into new systems and figuring out how they work. I'll do my best to fix your issue, and if I can't, I won't charge you for those hours.
What is the free look-over?
Send me your website address and I read it the way a customer would, then tell you the three things I’d change first.
Send me your website address →Do I need a new website, or can my current one be fixed?
Usually I can make improvements and updates to your existing website. Most small shops don’t need a rebuild; they need their SEO set up properly, their hours and photos updated, and a few technical repairs. I’ll tell you which camp you’re in on the call.
What does it mean to show up in AI search?
When someone asks ChatGPT or Google for a good salon near Alberta Street, those tools read the open web and recommend a handful of businesses. Showing up means your website and business listings are written and structured so they can be read, trusted, and repeated. It’s mostly careful fundamentals done well, and it starts with the found-in-AI audit: your listing, your site, and what AI currently says when someone asks where to go.
Is AI actually worth it for a business my size?
That depends, and we can talk through it on the call. It’s genuinely good at first drafts, answering questions from your own documents, and other repeatable chores. It will not run your shop for you, and we won't use it unnecessarily. Bring your most annoying weekly task to the call and I’ll tell you whether AI helps, what it would cost, or whether it doesn’t.
Do you only work with Portland businesses?
Portland is home, and in-shop visits are easy here; I'll drive up to an hour to get to you. Remote works fine too, so if you’re outside Portland we can still work together. The call just happens on video instead of over your counter.
